We Are On Fire! – Cherry Mobile Releases 2 Red Hot Smartphones

Titan Pro 1

It’s great to be back attending a Cherry Mobile’s event, because we don’t know what surprise they have in store for us at the start of 2014.

The first Android smartphone they announced to the media and bloggers today was the Titan Pro. The series represents Cherry Mobile’s phablet segment, with the Titan as the first model followed by the Titan TV and currently the Titan 2.0.

Titan Pro 2

The Titan Pro is powered by a 1.2 GHz MTK Quad-Core processor with 4GB of Internal Storage and 1GB of RAM, a 5-inch HD OGS screen with Dragon Trail Glass technology, and a 12 Megapixels Camera with BSI at the rear and 5 Megapixels at the front.  The Titan Pro comes with a G-Pen or Gesture Pen that lets the user write, draw or use gestures to initiate actions on the phone. SRP of the Titan Pro is Php 10,990.00.

Now for the surprise.

Z2 1

Last year, the Cosmos series was introduced which showcased phone models with high-end features at very competitive prices. This year, the Cosmos X, X2, S and Z are now joined by the Cosmos Z2, Cherry Mobile’s first Octa-Core powered smartphone. Compared to other processors, they said that theirs is the true “Octa-Core” – eight cores ready to work simultaneously for running demanding applications or games with heavy graphics.

Z2 2

The Cosmos Z2’s processor is an MTK 6592 Octa-Core processor with a clock-speed of 1.7 GHz. With other features such as a 5-inch IPS display, Full HD resolution with 16.7 million colors, 16GB of built-in storage (expandable up to 64GB Micro SD), 18 Megapixels Camera with BSI housed in a slim, elegant case, the Cosmos Z2 is surely one of the hottest smartphones to be available in the first quarter of 2014. SRP is Php 12,999, and by next month an Android 4.4 update will be available for the Cosmos Z2.

We’ve been hearing the possibilities of what an Octa-Core powered smartphone can do, and because I won a Cosmos Z2 earlier in the raffle, I will be able to put it to a test for the next few days. First look post on the Cosmos Z2 will be published tomorrow.
