Starmobile released another Octa-Core powered smartphone yesterday, and boy, it’s such a beauty!
The Octa is a follow-up to the Diamond X1 that was released last month, but after holding the red (not pink as we thought of last night) hot phone, I thought this would be a better option. While majority of people are not yet ready holding phablets like the Diamond X1, the Octa has the right size for a smartphone. Kinda looks like an HTC One too but really, the Octa has a lot more to offer than that. 1.7 GHz Octa Core processor, 32GB Internal Storage with 2GB of RAM, NFC, wireless charging, 18 Megapixels camera with BSI (Main), 8 Megapixels camera with BSI (Front) and a built-in 2300 mAh battery. Fully loaded, isn’t it?
Here are the rest of the specs:
OS: Android 4.2.2
Processor: 1.7 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor | MALI 450MP4 @ 650 MHz
Display: 1080 x 1920 pixels, 5” OGS Screen Display with Asahi Glass Scratch Resistant
Wireless Connections: HSDPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, NFC, GPS w/ A-GPS, FM Radio
Memory: 32GB Internal Storage, 2GB RAM
Connectors: Micro USB port, OTG Ready
Camera: 18.0MP BSI Rear Camera with Dual LED flash (Main), 8.0MP BSI Camera with LED Flash (Secondary)
SIM Card Slot: 2x Micro SIM required
Battery: 2,300 mAh
The specs are mouth-watering and it makes me want to take the Octa home for some playtime. Oh, here are some pics of Elijah Mendoza, Starmobile Product Marketing Manager demonstrating the USB-to-HDMI feature of the Octa:
The Starmobile Octa will be offered in two colors: red and jet black. It will be available nationwide by the end of March for Php 16,990 with a free 2-in-1 Wireless Charger and Bluetooth Speaker.
That’s a good package right there, and future Starmobile Octa owners will not enjoy the super-fast performance of the Octa, but also experience the hassle-free wireless connectivities it also offers.
