Starmobile Saves the Best for Last with the Knight X

The Engage 7 3G+ isn’t the only device that Starmobile has released this last quarter. The local mobile company closes the year with the Knight X, the self-proclaimed fastest local flagship to date.

The title is backed up with its specs: the Knight X runs on MediaTek MT6595M octa-core armed with big.LITTLE technology – that’s two ARM Cortex quad-core processors clocking at 2.0GHz and 1.7GHz each. This powerhouse is supported by a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

It seems that Starmobile has thrown everything it can into this 5.5-inch beauty as it comes with a lot of nifty features: its rear camera is a Sony Exmor RX IMX 135 that snaps to the tune of 13MP while its front camera goes for a respectable 5MP. Connectivity-wise it pushes well beyond the standard WiFi, Bluetooth, and 3G, as it’s the first local phone to have Dual LTE switching, which means that both your micro and nano SIM can each run on this high-speed bandwidth. As icing to the cake, the Knight X also has NFC and is considered a World Phone with its “five network modes across 15 frequency bands”.

It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, but who knows? It may just get the coveted Lollipop update.

The Knight X is priced at Php15,990, which more or less places it within the same bracket of Novo7 Tech’s Meizu and Xiaomi’s Mi lines. Check out the full specs below:
