Starmobile Introduces Knight Vision

Hot on the heels of Starmobile’s flagship, the Knight X, comes a handset with top-tier specs and a big first: a Digital TV (DTV) receiver. The Knight Vision is not just an Android phone that you can watch TV with, however, as it also boasts of an impressive spec sheet that should not be easily dismissed.

A MediaTek MT6582 chipset beats at the heart of this device, coupled by a 1.3GHz Quad Core ARM Cortex A7 CPU with 2GB RAM and a Mali-400MP2 graphics card. Up front is a 5.5 IPS display with an 8MP Sony autofocus camera, and the rear camera is a 13MP Sony IMX Exmor RS with OIS capability. Rounding out the package is a 2450mAh battery and the device runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat.

The star of the show, however, is the built-in DTV technology. As you know, regular television sets rely on the actual TV in a fixed position to deliver clear images. Digital TV signals however, are crisp and clear even when you’re on the go.

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has already mandated that television stations make the transition from analog to digital when it comes to TV signal, with the big three networks: ABS-CBN, GMA, and TV5 already rolling out DTV technology for free for their viewers.

This means you’ll never have to miss your favorite show just because you’re stuck in traffic. With the Knight Vision, Starmobile aims to truly bring mobility to everyone. This Pinoy-made Android smartphone represents a big step forward not only for tech, but for entertainment as well.

The Starmobile Knight Vision will be available nationwide within the month for P9,990.
