Families who want to stay connected to each other will be happy to learn this latest news from Smart.
Smart Family Ties is a group plan which includes 3 postpaid lines and 3 smartphones. It comes in 2 plans that would suit each family’s needs. For those who just want to stay in touch with their family members, I would recommend Family Ties Plan 900. Each line would have unlimited calls with other family members, unlimited SMS to Smart subscribers, 200 free SMS to all networks and 100MB of mobile data. That’s equivalent to Php 300 per line. Mura di ba?
For those families who want to make calls to their other contacts on the Smart network, Plan 1800 comes with unlimited calls and SMS to all Smart subscribers, 200 free SMS to all networks and 300MB of mobile data for each line.
What if a family needs additional lines? No worries! Smart can let the subscriber add up to six additional lines per subscription. Additional cost would only be P300 per line under Plan 900 or P600 per line for Plan 1800. What’s also sweet is these additional lines will also get free smartphones. Nice!
Speaking of smartphones, Smart will offer the Alcatel Magic, Lenovo A269i, Lenovo A369i, O+ USA 8.2, O+ USA 8.31, and O+ 8.37.

Also mentioned in the video is Vodafone Guardian app which is pre-installed for smartphones availed from the Family Ties Plans. With this app, parents can set parameters on their child/children’s smartphones’ calls, SMS and use of applications. In short, the app will be the Parents’ best friend and the children’s worst enemy. 🙂 Smart will be among the first telcos in Asia to launch the app thanks to their partnership with Vodafone.
