Smart Communications and LG Philippines have officially launched one of the most anticipated Android phones of the year – the Google Nexus 5.

We already know that the Google Nexus 5 was manufactured by LG (as well as the Nexus 4) but not everybody knows why it is the hottest smartphone in town? For starters, the Nexus 5 same some serious specs under its hood. Here’s a quick rundown:

OS: Android 4.4 (KitKat)
Processor: 2.3 GHz Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 Quad-Core processor
Display: 5” Full HD IPS Display
Wireless Connections: LTE, 3G/HSDPA, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, NFC
Memory: 16GB/32GB Internal Storage, 2GB RAM
Camera: 8.0 Megapixels with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and LED flash (Main), 1.3 Megapixels (Secondary)
Battery: 2,300 mAh

Like what I’ve said in my previous post, the biggest feature here is the software. The Nexus 5 is the first Android device to have Android 4.4 KitKat installed. The latest mobile operating system of Google now has a voice recognition prompt for mobile commands and more personalized features that would make your Nexus 5 truly yours.

Ok, so under what postpaid plan from Smart can we avail of the Nexus 5? Subscribers can get the Nexus 5 for FREE at Plan 1500 with Unlimited LTE Data. If you prefer Smart’s All-In Plan, you can also get it for FREE at All-In Plan 1800. Tempting, very tempting! Btw, you can get more info about their Google Nexus 5 plans from this link: http://www1.smart.com.ph/postpaid/phones/all-phones-and-devices/2013/12/12/google-nexus-5/. If I were to get one, I’ll definitely pick the Unlimited LTE Data Plan 1500 or 2000. I am a heavy data user and I can attest that Smart’s LTE is the real deal.

  1. Is the LTE unlimited for the whole lock-in period? I noticed na madalas na nilang sabihin ang unli LTE ngayon kaysa before. At wala na rin nakasulat na “unlimited LTE promo ends on December 31, 2013.”
