SIBOL, the Philippine Esports Team for the SEA Games showed mixed results on Day 1 of the Esports event in the Biennial Meet. The team participated in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Starcraft II and Hearthstone matches.
Caviar “EnDerr” Acampado lead SIBOL’s wins showing his mastery of the game against Vietnam in Group B. His teammate, Justin “NuksPH” Santos fell short against Malaysia 2-1. Jacinta Dee, SIBOL’s lone female athlete in Hearthstone also lost to Malaysia’s Yew Weang Kean 2-3 in Group A. Dustin Mangulabnan experienced the same fate in Group B.
The SIBOL Mobile Legends: Bang Bang players were busy on Day 1 of the SEA Games Esports event. Their match with Indonesia resulted to a draw 1-1. SIBOL was able to get a win against Laos 2-0 then got a draw again with Thailand.
