Seagate Technology has introduced their new ultra-portable Solid State Drive (SSD) peripheral, Seagate One Touch SSD in the market. The sleek and stylish One Touch SSD is geared for the current on the go lifestyle.
The pocket sized (roughly as big as a credit card) drive is designed with a woven fabric giving a textured feel. And either design comes in black or white. It provides a means for backing up files or photos, to sharing these while on the go. The One Touch SSD will be able to provide, whenever and wherever it is needed.
In a recent study sponsored by Seagate to IDC, its white paper describes the exponential growth of five billion users who interact with data every single day. By 2025 this will amount to six billion, or roughly 75% of the total population.
“We have more ways than ever to instantaneously consume content, driving the need to create, distribute and manage data efficiently.” Quoting Jeff Fochtman, vice president of marketing for Seagate. “Easily accessible, fast, and reliable digital storage is more important than ever, and our new One Touch SSDs deliver style, portability, and effortless performance.”
Aside from the fabric cover, it includes Sync Plus as part of its tool kit in providing continuous backup. The Seagate One Touch SSD has file transfer speeds of up to 400MB/s (maximum). It is compatible with PC and MAC (exFAT file format) via USB 3.0 (braided cable included). The drive also includes a complementary two month free subscription for Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan I. And even a one year subscription for Mylio Create2. Finally, it comes with a three year warranty.
Seagate’s One Touch SSDs are available in all authorized Seagate resellers nationwide. These include Abacus, Villman, Silicon Valley, Electroworld, PCWorx, Thinking Tools, Octagon and PC Express outlets. Buyers can also purchase through the Seagate Flagship stores in Lazada or Shopee. The drives cost Php 4909 for the 500GB while Php 9619 for the 1TB.
