In partnership with the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) and the PGH Medical Foundation, Inc. (PGHMFI), Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation (SPECO) recently announced the opening of its first Samsung SONO School in the country.
Located at the PGH, the school houses a dedicated facility for pre-natal ultrasound training which aims to provide a venue for doctors to better enhance their diagnostic skills. The school’s training curriculum, developed by PGH’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, features both theoretical lectures and hands-on sessions which will be conducted by doctor-professors from UP Manila College of Medicine. The program can accommodate up to 300 doctors yearly, with 25 doctor-trainees participating per session.
