Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Rumors: 120Hz Main Display with S- Pen?

There are rumors that the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is most likely coming this year with bigger, better specs, and a lot smoother with its release. We’re expecting huge upgrades to Samsung’s foldable phone that would soothe its past pain points.

Samsung released the Galaxy Z Flip this February as what fans earlier speculated to be the Galaxy Fold 2. Unexpectedly, it took to a new aesthetic direction different from the demographic the Samsung Galaxy Fold targeted originally. The rumor about the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 to appear later this year has been more or less confirmed with how much rumors are floating around.

Many have complained about the external smartphone display’s size in the original Galaxy Fold. Reliable source Ross Young shared alleged displays specs of the Galaxy Fold 2 targeting those. His tweets on twitter summarized what we can probably expect from the Galaxy Fold 2’s screen.

According to him, the Galaxy Fold 2 will feature an LTPS 6.23” 60Hz front display and a full LTPO 7.59” 120Hz main display. Ben Geskin made a render based on these specs to show it visually. The front display has an 2267 x 819 resolution and the main at 2213 x 1689 resolution, 372 dpi.

It’s been guessed before that the Galaxy Fold 2 will get an under- screen selfie camera on the inside screen. Ross Young shut that conjecture down last month in his reply to Max Weinbach’s tweet.

Moreover in that regard, he elaborated that Samsung’s under screen technology isn’t ready yet and will instead opt for a punch hole front camera for the Galaxy Fold 2. To be fair, the screen’s apparently completely notchless still.

The display may feel massive but it looks like Samsung’s dead set on elevating the tablet experience. Ross Young also said that the Galaxy Fold 2 also integrated an S- Pen compatible with the Note Series. He didn’t specify on where it will be placed though.

Just like the Galaxy Z Flip, the Galaxy Fold 2 will also be on UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass) with cover film. That wraps up this major leak on the Galaxy Fold 2.

Samsung definitely resolved complaints on the external screen should these rumors be true. We’re excited to see how Samsung will release and price the Galaxy Fold 2 especially with the onset of these challenging times.
