Samsung is taking another stab at the laptop market by announcing the Samsung Galaxy Book S.
The Galaxy Book S is an always-on, always-connected and always-capable device to ensure productivity. Ultra-fast Gigabit LTE adds a virtually constant connection to the cloud, providing high-speed access to applications and content without relying on WiFi. The Galaxy Book S features a touch-to-wake capabilities for instant access, just like waking up a smartphone. And like a smartphone, anything you need is readily available with the Book S.
The Book S is built with a premium anodized aluminum frame on the top and base and strengthened by the anodization process on the outer layer. Its 13.3-inch display comes with a 10-point multi-touch, allowing you to scroll, zoom and control the device, with a touch of a finger.
Instead of using the mainstream PC processors, Samsung opted for a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx. The chipset is fanless, which ensures the laptop to be cool at all times no matter how much work you have. The Book S offers 256GB and 512GB of storage and expandable up to 1TB with a MicroSD Card. Its built-in memory of 8GB would ensure that you can juggle all your work without crashing the laptop.
Having the same processor of a flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Book S can last up to 23 hours of continuous video playback with only a single charge. You don’t need a special charger – just the ones you’re using for the Note10 would work!
The Samsung Galaxy Book S will be available this September for $999.
