Samsung has been known for creating powerful smartphones that redefine the Android experience. This time, however, the focus has been shifted to something entirely different – design. Thus the Korean tech company brings the Galaxy Alpha, a phone synonymous to sophistication.
Different from other Galaxy devices, the Alpha is only 7mm thick and is protected by a sturdy metal frame that elegantly curves towards a tactile soft back cover. The device features a 4.7-inch HD Super Amoled display with cameras going for 12MP at the rear and 2MP up front.
Running on Android 4.4 KitKat, it’s powered by two quad processors at 1.8GHz and 1.3GHz for a full octa-core experience. It has 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, and is backed up by a 1,860mAh battery.
“The Galaxy Alpha was built and designed based on the specific desires of the consumer market,” says Chung Lyong Lee, President and Managing Director of Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation. “Style meets technology for the newest addition to the Galaxy family, the Galaxy Alpha focuses on both beauty and functionality combining a stunning metal frame and slim, light weight design with the same powerful hardware and features users expect from a flagship Galaxy mobile device.”
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha goes for Php29,990 and is available in all Samsung Experience Stores.
