Redmi 7A – Entry-Level Smartphone with up to Two Days of Battery Life

When it re-entered the Philippine market, Xiaomi won the hearts of the budget-conscious user by selling the Redmi 5A. It had a 5″ screen display powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, 16GB Storage and 2GB RAM, 13 Megapixel camera and a 3,000 mAh battery. With these good specs, the 5A only costs P4,590. A few months later, the Redmi 6A was released with a larger 5.45″ screen and Helio A22 chipset for a few hundred pesos more at P5,290. The entry of Realme C1 and C2 gave Xiaomi a legit competitor for the entry-level segment. With that in mind, they launched today the latest product in the Redmi series – the Redmi 7A.

The Redmi 7A represents a complete upgrade over its predecessor, the Redmi 6A. The phone features a 5.45” HD+ Full Screen Display with wide viewing angles and support for full screen gestures.

With the ability to receive FM radio signals without external antenna, along with support for loud audio output, Redmi 7A allows users to listen to their favorite FM radio stations headset-free. Another major improvement is the inclusion of a large 4000mAh battery which Xiaomi claims can reach up to two-days of normal use. Furthermore, it also offers a dedicated microSD card slot, a headphone jack and splash resistance for a convenient experience.

The Redmi 7A will be available in Matte Blue and Matte Black at Php 4,790 for 2GB+16GB version and Php 5,290 for 2GB+32GB version in Gem Blue and Matte Black.
