PLDT SMART customers now have video call facility at DTI

A video call facility is now available at the office of the Department of Trade and Industry–Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau (DTI-FTEB) in Makati City as an additional channel to serve the varying and increasing needs of customers of both PLDT and wireless unit Smart Communications (Smart).

PLDT and Smart launched a consumer welfare desk at the DTI-FTEB office featuring a videophone facility for the use of individuals with concerns regarding their PLDT, Smart, Sun, and TNT accounts. The facility is located at the 3rd floor of UPRC Bldg., 315 Sen. Gil J. Puyat Avenue, in Makati City and is open for walk-ins on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

PLDT SMART Video Call

To assist and guide customers on the use of the videophone service, the PLDT-Smart welfare desk is manned by a DTI-FTEB mediation officer. A customer care personnel from PLDT-Smart is assigned to receive the video calls from the customers for the faster resolution of their concerns.

The video call service provides subscribers with an exclusive touchpoint for the customer services of PLDT and Smart, according to public affairs head Ramon R. Isberto. “The service augments our existing customer care channels, and helps in resolving subscribers’ concerns faster,” said Isberto.

“We are pleased to unveil the PLDT-Smart videophone customer facility here at the DTI-FTEB office. This service is part of our efforts to better inform our consumers and serve their best interests,” said Trade Undersecretary for Consumer Protection Group Ruth B. Castelo.
