OPPO just unveiled the OPPO Reno Ace 2 as their first phone with wireless charging! OPPO Reno Ace 2 carries serious specs popping off with its whopping 40W wireless charging rate and the biggest-and-baddest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G.
Previously on the OPPO Reno Ace we’ve seen the world’s current fastest wired charging rate, the 60W Super VOOC 2.0 Flash Charge. OPPO may have dropped the “Reno” term but we’re seeing this fast charging support again on the OPPO Ace 2. Now enhanced with world’s best wireless charging, latest Qualcomm, and 5G!
The Reno Ace 2 decks out on a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display at 90Hz refresh rate, corning Gorilla Glass 5. The screen isn’t completely notchless, opting instead for a punch hole 16 MP (f 2.4) front camera.
It’s rightly fueled by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 with easy 5G support and in addition, Wi-Fi 6. It’s a go signal for gaming especially with OPPO’s HyperBoost 3.0, 12% performance increase while simultaneously keeping it cooler by 1.4ºC.
The Snapdragon 865 can be partnered with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM. There’s three configurations present, one ideal for your style: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. OPPO tops this off with UFS 3.0 storage for fast data rates at a lower power consumption. It’s also on ColorOS 7.1 based on Android 10.
The Reno Ace 2 is also with a quad camera module very similar to the 2019 OPPO Reno Ace. It’s main lens is at 48MP (f 1.7) aperture plus three lenses: 8MP (f 2.2) ultra wide-angle sensor, 2MP portrait sensor, and a 2MP (f 2.4) monochrome sensor. Not the best, not the worst.
Battery is 4,000 mAh propped up with 40W Air VOOC wireless fast charging and 65W Super VOOC 2.0 Flash Charge fast charging support. Running out of juice surely won’t be a hassle at all! In only half an hour with wired charging and 56 minutes wireless, you’ll get all bars back.
The OPPO Reno Ace 2 releases first in China on April 20th. Prices start at approx. PHP 28,000 (3,999 yuan) for 8GBRAM/128GB of storage, going up to approx. PHP 32,000 (4,399 yuan) for 8GBRAM/256GB, and lastly to about PHP 33,000 (4,599 yuan) for 12GBRAM/256GB. There are three colors available: Aurora Silver, Moon Rock Grey, and Fantasy Purple.
