OPPO Helps Out this Father’s Day

In commemoration of Father’s day, OPPO reached out and celebrated a father who saved up for a new OPPO A5s smartphone as a graduation gift for his son.

Amidst the growing digitalization in the country is a class divide especially in online classes and in remote work. This father’s day, the whole world celebrated the spirit of paternal love within our beloved dads and the best single moms.

A great example of that spirit is a Filipino father. Last June 14, Mr. Edwin Bayson’s moving story went viral and shook many hearts. The story goes like this. Edwin Bayson is a truck driver who had a son that was graduating. He then saved up for an OPPO A5s, at only PHP 5,600, for four months. He chose it especially as a graduation gift for his son.

Upon seeing the admirable spirit, OPPO took the chance this Father’s Day to show their appreciation as well. OPPO reached out and gave a set of OPPO and Rockspace products, including the latest OPPO Reno3, OPPO Enco Q1 Wireless Earphones, Rockspace Muse Bluetooth Speaker, and Rockspace P62 Pro 10000 mAh Power Bank for Mr. Edwin. Though these devices did not need 4 months to save up for, it’s one that’s helpful nonetheless.

“We’re always grateful for the love of the Filipinos for OPPO. The continuously growing support of the Filipinos for OPPO is what inspires us to do more for Filipinos. We wanted to do this for Mr. Bayson as our simple way of expressing our gratitude to the Filipinos. Also, it’s not everyday that we get to celebrate fathers and their sacrifices for their families, and with the selfless act of Mr. Bayson, we just felt that he deserved this and more,” shared by Simon Xie, OPPO Philippines Territory Manager for South West Luzon.
