My friends from O+ USA has just announced a newer Notepad 4G. The O+ Notepad 4G 2.0 comes with a new color, a bigger storage capacity, and still comes with an Intellipen. Now in Polished Metallic Blue, the Notepad 4G 2.0 can be easily distinguished from the original Notepad 4G which comes in Black. The newer Notepad’s storage was doubled from 64GB to 128GB which would give users more breathing room for installing more apps and storing multimedia files.
Here are the O+ Notepad 4G 2.0 specs:
|OS:||Windows 10 OS|
|Processor:||1.4 GHz Intel Z8300 Quad-Core Processor|
|Display:||1920 x 1200 pixels, 10.1" WUXGA Screen|
|Wireless Connections:||LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi|
|Memory:||128 GB Internal Storage, 4GB RAM|
|Connectors:||Micro USB, Micro HDMI, USB 3.0|
|Cameras:||2 Megapixels (Main Camera), 2 Megapixels (Front)|
|SIM Card Slots:||Unknown|
The O+ Notepad 4G 2.0 is similar to the O+ Convertible I reviewed last year. They are both 2-in-1 devices meaning the Tablet is detachable from the keyboard dock. The two advantages I see with the Convertible are the 500GB hard drive found in the keyboard dock and it’s cheaper price of P15,995.
The Notepad 4G 2.0 however has a 4G SIM Card slot which lets the user be connected online even without a WiFi connection. Lastly, the Intellipen is something I’ve been very curious about when it was first introduced with the Notepad 4G. According to some Notepad owners, they can rest their palm on the screen while writing or scribbling with the Intellipen. This is the computing device I’ve been looking for almost a decade – an affordable Tablet PC with a working pen!
The O+ Notepad 4G 2.0 is already available at all O+ outlets for P18,395.00. Let’s see if I can score a unit soon!
