Despite of all the knee-deep assignments I have to work on in my other job, I had to make time to post these IFA-related news with all the announcements being made left and right. Nokia, which is now officially owned by Microsoft, has announced 3 new Lumias in Berlin. The Nokia Lumia 730, 735 and 830 are going to be shipped with Windows Phone 8.1 Lumia Denim. The Lumia Denim combines the latest Windows Phone 8.1 update with exclusive experiences for Lumia smartphones. For Lumia devices with PureView technology like the Lumia 830, the Denim update includes various imaging enhancements that would make the camera work faster and more intuitive. Let’s have a look on each of them:
NOKIA LUMIA 730
The Lumia 730 is aimed at customers who frequently use Skype as well as those who are “selfie-addicts.” The smartphone can let Skype users easily make video calls with one-tap Skype video call access even while on a voice call. There will also be a free three-month Skype Worldwide Unlimited subscription included with the purchase of the Lumia 730, though I am not sure if the Philippines is included in those selected markets.
The Lumia 730 also boasts of a 5 Megapixel camera with wide-angle lens allowing people to take high-quality selfies. Just like previous Lumias, the shell is made of polycarbonate material and will be available in bright green, bright orange, dark grey, and white. It’s a 3G Dual-SIM Windows Phone so you can use 2 SIM Cards simultaneously.
