Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 might be in a bean-like unconventional design! Set to impress, can this version overtake Apple’s Airpods 2 in sound quality? An alleged specs leak from WinFuture shows the Galaxy Buds 2 at one- inch snug fit in- ear.
WinFuture, German tech site made these renders out of the design specifications allegedly sent to them. With the information at hand, the renders look similar to the previous leaks Dutch tech blog LetsGoDigital release. These designs are super unconventional, but it looks like it works.
This new “Bean” (reported code name) design scraps the previously seen in-ear design with a more subtle bud according to WinFuture. Kidney-shaped and petite, if true, the design can deliver audio from the outer ear canal without discomfort from silicone seals.
However, there’s a downside in the absence of sealing as it makes your ear more open for background noise. Because of this, it’s highly unlikely for it to have Active Noise Cancellation when it can’t control exactly what you’re hearing.
It also reportedly consists of two small speakers to provide treble, mid and low tones (presumably in each headphone), corresponding to Samsung’s new dual driver system present in current Galaxy Buds+. The new Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 is the successor to the highly rated Galaxy Buds+ just released last month. These should be, as usual, charged wirelessly as evidenced by the charging contacts in the renders.
Reported features include a built-in microphone for calls and a hear-through feature for safety should it be able to pass the hurdle of having too much ambient noise. Tech website T3 says it’s also likely to have touch controls for volume. But that’s not all, earlier leaks from LetsGoDigital say the Galaxy Buds 2 will have fitness features unseen from wireless earphones.
These leaks and predictions gets our heart pumping in curiosity. There’s no actual news of when this will be released, but we’re surely anticipating it. Most likely though, it will come out alongside the Samsung S20. No news of that too, sadly. We’ll make sure to get back to you one we do!
