Lian Li Launches Their Airflow Focused LANCOOL II Mesh

Lian Li has now officially launched their new airflow focused LANCOOL II Mesh to the world this month, around a few days after their announcement during the Lian Li Digital Expo at the beginning of the month.  New to the LANCOOL II series are the LANCOOL II Mesh Performance and LANCOOL II Mesh RGB. These new cases are built upon the award winning design of the LANCOOL II Series. The LANCOOL II Mesh updates the look as well as provide improved case airflow. As mentioned, there are two main variants: Performance, and RGB. The main feature of this new case is the large mesh front panel and mesh left side panel for the PSU.

Unrestricted Airflow and adaptable modular PSU shroud

Lian Li was able to create a mesh design that incorporates both high airflow and at the same time, limiting dust infiltration to the point it no longer needs another layer of filter to block out dirt. Additional honeycomb perforations at the top and rear of the case to aid exhaust.

For the PSU shroud, modifications were made to allow at the top of the shroud to have modular covers. These allow for users to replace these and install cooling fans for pulling air from the bottom. Or install two SSD drives on top of the covers while still having passive cooling from the bottom.

To RGB or not to RGB

The LANCOOL II Mesh Performance and comes with two 140mm PWM cooling fans at the front, a 120mm rear exhaust fan, and a fan hub that supports up to six fans. It also comes with a fan speed adjustment switch that the user can push to immediately adjust fan speeds. There are three speeds to choose from, L (low), M (medium), H (high), A (auto); and each corresponds to a preset speed of 45%, 75%, 100% fan speed.

The LANCOOL II Mesh RGB meanwhile comes in either black or white, and comes with three ARGB 120mm fans. The RGB model has its own button for controlling the fans’ lighting effects. The C button will allow users to switch between 7 color options, and the M button will switch around 8 lighting modes.

Packed with Great Features

The LANCOOL II Mesh inherits features from the original LANCOOL II. These include flip panels to ease access to every part of the case, reducing the amount of time fitting in a part. Modular cable cover plates allow routing of cables easily. Adjustable drive bays allow us to fit in bigger sized PSUs as well as allow space for PSU cables. A Multi-way fan/radiator bracket for mounting combination of radiator and fans closer to the motherboard or closer to the case’s front face. Finally, a cable management bar can be flipped in order to accommodate E-ATX motherboards.

The LANCOOL II Mesh is now available for orders through Newegg, Overclockers.UK or Caseking.de for $89.99 for Performance/RGB Black, while it is $94.99 for the RGB White edition.
