Some good news from my favorite Telecommunications network just in time for Christmas!
The new iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina Display is going to be offered by Smart this December which caught us by surprise because we didn’t expect it to reach Philippine shores this early. Smart already has the website up http://www.smart.com.ph/ipad but unfortunately, there are no prices and availability of the new iPads as of the moment. When they announced the iPad 4 and iPad Mini last May, the older iPads were made available via Unlimited Plan 999 with cash out and the more affordable Plan 499 where the monthly service fees and amortization fees are combined. Will we see a similar pricing scheme?
The iPad Air is thinner, lighter and more powerful than the iPad 4th Gen while the new iPad Mini comes with Retina Display. If I were to choose one, I would pick the iPad Air since I need bigger screens for productivity and creating content. My iPad 4th Gen with LTE from Smart is sure getting jealous right now.
