Globe Launches VoLTE, VoWIFI Call Service

Globe is introducing new call services, Voice Over LTE (VoLTE) service and Voice Over WiFi (VoWiFi) for an overall better voice call. Starting May 14, these services will roll out gradually with NCR and selected customers.

Globe aims to make calls for customers smoother, clearer, and faster with the new VoLTE and VoWiFi. The two side by side complements each other by covering and improving signal quality by the situation. VoLTE allows users to rely on the 4G LTE network than the current-and-common 3G.

Calls through VoLTE gets through faster by one to five seconds aside from its superior network. Plus, VoLTE utilizes voice and data simultaneously so you can go surf the net and multitask while on call.

Contrarily, VoWiFi extends network coverage for low-signal areas for calls to be routed over WiFi instead of 2G/3G/LTE network. This service lets users call through WiFi without the use of any additional apps.

Most importantly, using VoLTE and VoWiFi is completely free of additional charges on mobile data! Subscribers only need LTE to use VoLTE and a stable WiFi connection for VoWiFi. Users can use VoLTE and VoWiFi just on the standard calling rates or their subscriptions.
