Several months ago, we reviewed the Gionee Elife S5.5, which was the world’s slimmest smartphone back then. There were rumours that Gionee will have a newer, slimmer smartphone in the form of the Elife S5.1. The good news is, the rumours are indeed true, as Gionee Phillippines advised us that they will indeed push the newest slim smartphone to the Philippine market.
The Elife S5.1 will have a 4.8″ Super AMOLED Display, a 1.7 GHz MTK 6592 Octa-Core processor under its hood, 1GB of RAM, 16GB Internal Storage but unfortunately with no expansion options. The main camera will have a 8-Megapixel sensor while the front cam will have 5 Megapixels.
Looks like it will be smaller than the Elife S5.5 and I’m quite excited to see it in person. We’ll give you an update once we have a review unit in our possession.
