First Look: realme 7 Pro First Impressions, Photo Samples

Seems that the trend in most phone companies these days is to release two phones in the same series within the same year. I haven’t figured out why, but brands like Xiaomi’s Redmi series, OPPO Reno series and its sub-brand realme are doing this practice. Last May, realme announced their realme 6 series by introducing the realme 6i first followed by the realme 6 and 6 Pro. Now, we have the very new realme 7 Pro in our hands which will be officially launched on September 30. Read our realme 7 Pro first impressions below.

REALME 7 PRO FIRST IMPRESSIONS

realme 7 Pro

First thing I noticed upon holding the realme 7 Pro is its size. I thought the size is smaller than the previous series. Upon checking the dimensions of the 7 Pro and comparing it with the previous series, I was right after all. The size of the 7 Pro are 160.9 x 74.3 x 8.7 mm while the 6 Pro is larger at 163.8 x 75.8 x 8.9 mm. It’s lighter to hold to as it weighs 182 grams, around 20 grams lighter than the 6 Pro.

The phone has a slim form factor and it’s a joy to hold. The power button is found on the right side.

On the left are the volume controls and the SIM card slot. It can accommodate two Nano SIM Cards and a Micro SD Card.

I really dig the back cover of the realme 7 Pro. Its mirror space design lets the phone shine under different angles. What I like about it more is it doesn’t attract dust and fingerprints unlike other phones from competitors using polycarbonate materials. Honestly, I hate plastic black covers that attracts these nuisance and they should follow what realme implemented here in their 7 Pro.

The screen size is 6.4″ with 1080 x 2400 Full HD+ resolution. Instead of the usual IPS display, realme opted for a much better Super AMOLED display technology. While I consider this finally an upgrade, sadly, the 90Hz screen refresh rate was not included possibly to prevent the price from going up. Also, the fingerprint scanner is now on the display, a first for the series.

The realme 7 Pro comes with a Quad Camera setup lead by its 64 Megapixel wide lens. Here are some sample photos taken with its cameras:

One of the best features of the 7 Pro is its SuperDart Fast Charging technology. In around 34 minutes, the realme 7 Pro with its 4,500 mAh battery can be charged from 0 to 100%! So if you need to charge for a few minutes, it can probably last you for hours.

Watch this video challenge that realme Philippines dared me to try. I ate one pack of 3X Spicy Noodles in 7 minutes. Find out how much battery charge the 7 Pro was able to get in or less than 7 minutes:
