MSI Gaming introduced a new gaming laptop at the start of #ESGS2019. The MSI Alpha 15 is the brand’s first AMD-powered laptop and also happens to be the world’s first 7nm GPU equipped gaming laptop.
MSI Alpha is a new line of gaming laptops focused on a different segment of the market. Instead of the MSI Dragon, they used the Thunderbird as a logo which represents a supernatural being of power and strength. Its rising wings expresses innovation and prosperity. This new line could probably offer only AMD-powered laptops, as they have mentioned they will be offering more of these in the future.
The MSI Alpha 15 has a 15″ screen display with 144 Hz refresh rate. It can be plugged in with an external monitor and supports AMD FreeSync Technology. Keyboard The AMD Ryzen R7 3750H powers the laptop and its GPU is the world’s first 7nm GPU – the AMD Radeon RX 5500M. Since it is powered by AMD, the Alpha 15 can utilize its AMD SmartShift Technology which intelligently allocates power and cooling between the processor and graphics. This would allow higher performance and efficient battery life. Storage is a 512GB SSD and its memory comes with only 4GB. While the RAM can make several gamers frown, the good news is it can be upgraded up to 64GB.
The SRP of the MSI Alpha 15 is P62,995 and is now available for Pre-Order. Customers can avail of FREE 4GB RAM Upgrade (that would make the Alpha 15’s RAM to 8GB) and Choose Two of these Games: Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Borderlands 3, and The Outer Worlds. Discounts on the MSI Optix MAG272, MSI Clutch GM50 Mouse and MSI Immerse GH70 Headset will be offered with the pre-order, which will end on November 13, 2019.
