Finally, we got some news from MSI Philippines! We were invited to attend their press conference here at ESGS 2018 where they discussed their new products from PC components to peripherals to Gaming Desktop PCs. They are releasing two gaming desktop PCs – the MSI Trident and MSI Infinite series.
The MSI Trident X series is the brand’s first compact desktop PC to include the latest MSI GeForce RTX graphics card. When we say compact, the desktop case is equivalent to only 10 liters in volume. The Trident X is targeting gamers who demand the highest game performance from a PC, by having the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards which enhance picture rendering performance, enriching the game picture and provides great viewing experience. The processor is a powerful Intel 9th Gen Core i9 CPU where the user can experience boosted gameplay and faster rendering up to 50% performance.
The compact profile of the Trident X is unbelievable! Imagine all the components in a tower-sized desktop PC into something small as 10 Liters! Even an SFX power supply is incorporated inside which doesn’t need an external adapter.
The Trident is designed to be in a vertical position to prevent the graphic card from bending and damage to its PCI-E slot during transport. Users have the option to change the side panel of the Trident – a classic black side panel or a door-like tempered glass. Either way, the components inside can be easily changed for upgrades.
When it comes to cooling, MSI has that covered. The Trident X features an exclusive cooling technology called Silent Storm Cooling 3. By separating the CPU, VGA and PSU in different chambers with optimized airflow, the PC won’t encounter any heat problems even with hours of gameplay.
While there’s an argument of why buy a pre-built PC when you can create one which can be customized and purchased for a cheaper price, MSI believes that there is still a market for their Trident X series. According to MSI Philippines, there are customers who just want to purchase a gaming desktop PC without having to wait.
