Endless Possibilities: Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra Unlocks the Sky

Samsung finally reveals the Galaxy S20 line at today’s highly anticipated Galaxy Unpacked event. The Galaxy S20 follows the phenomenal release of the Galaxy S10, aiming for the highest of heights in present smartphone technology. Samsung has released three variants: the Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra.

One of the key features of Samsung’s newest flagship phone is the neoteric Dynamic AMOLED Display at 120 Hz Refresh Rate (a big upgrade from S10’s 60 Hz.) The S20 has a screen size of 6.2 inch screen; the S20+ with 6.7″ and the S20 Ultra with the biggest among all Galaxy smartphones at 6.9″. These phones come with a 20:9 screen to body ratio all makes for a stellar display as the bezels slim down further.

Galaxy S20

The Galaxy S20 is spearheading the 2020 smartphone race thanks to its top-of-the-line processors. All variants of the S20 carry the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 (US) and Exynos 990 (Europe and Asia), 2020’s latest chipsets. These processors are adequately prepped with 128GB of Internal Storage with 8 GB RAM (12GB for the Ultra) to run them smoother. While other flagships are ditching the memory card, Samsung still retained the expansion slot for MicroSD capable of storage up to 1TB.

The rear cameras present in the Galaxy S20 are 12 Megapixels wide, 12 Megapixels ultra-wide, and 64 Megapixels telephoto. The Galaxy S20+ also comes with the same set of cameras like the S20 with the addition of the 3D ToF Quad Camera. The best set of cameras are with the Galaxy S20 Ultra: it has a whopping 108 Megapixels wide lens, 12 Megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 48 Megapixel telephoto lens, and 3D ToF Quad Camera. The telephoto lens can zoom up to 100x called space zoom. The cameras can capture 8K video, making the S20 the first smartphone to do so.

The battery touch up is also noteworthy as the S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra are now housing 4000 mAh, 4500 mAh, and 5000 mAh respectively. It also goes without saying that all these variants are equipped with ultra fast charging with the S20 and S20+ at 25W and the S20 Ultra at 45W.

Of course it’s without a doubt that the little useful specifications present in the S10 will be seen here as well. We’ll gladly welcome again the IP68 dust/water resistance, fast wireless charging, and Wireless PowerShare.

We’ll see the Samsung Galaxy S20 line launched in authorized retail stores, telco operator partners, and online starting March 11. The Samsung Galaxy S20 will have a price of P49,990; S20+ at P55,990, and the S20 Ultra at P69,990. Colors available for the S20 are Cosmic Gray and Cloud Pink (Telco Operator and Online Exclusive), while the S20+ and S20 Ultra have Cosmic Gray and Cosmic Black.
