DJI Officially Introduces the Matrice 300 RTK drone platform and Zenmuse H20 series — Built Tough For Field Missions

DJI has taken the wraps off the Matrice 300 RTK drone platform and Zenmuse H20 series. Meet their leading, most advanced commercial drone and unprecedent hybrid camera series side by side.

There’s a lot to love packed into these systems with much potential to be unleashed for commercial use. The Matrice 300 RTK drone combines the glory of modern aviation features, an intuitive advanced UI, exceptional transmission system, and ideally long aviation time of 55 minutes. DJI’s introducing a lot of cool new features with the release of Matrice 300 RTK.

Along the Matrice 300 RTK, we’re also introduced to the Zenmuse H20 series capable of carrying huge camera payloads efficiently. Similarly, it’s excitingly versatile as it maximizes the most out of your software and hardware combos. The Zenmuse H20 series offers just about all the necessary sensors, including thermal sensors making for a crisp shooter and a great range- finder.

The Matrice 300 RTK is filled to the brim with phenomenal technologies arranged to power its best. Just by a top-mounted body and bottom-mounted blades design, it’s pretty unique. This makes way for a 6 directional sensing and positioning system with maximum object-detection range of up to 40m (130ft) horizontally. Plus, it includes an Anti-Collision Beacon for low-light visibility environments working with AirSense (ADS-B) technology for other nearby aircrafts.

The platform also features an all-new OcuSync Enterprise transmission system capable of triple-channel 1080p video transmission signal reaching up to 15 km away. DJI makes sure these transmissions are sturdy and secure with an AES-256 encryption. Multifaceted with efficient features like an IP45 weather resistant enclosure and up to 3 payloads (2.7 kg max) simultaneous support all prove this drone to be incredible in durability.

All these systems work together for the Primary Flight Display (PFD) for a smoother user experience. Basically, it’s real-time flight and navigation data into one single integrated display. Subsequently that includes visual obstacle data and other intricate details important for hard to deal with missions.

It also automates missions in order to save time and workload. The M300 RTK has Smart Pin & Track or Smart Inspection modes with Live Mission Recording and AI-Spot Check features. Together, it can smartly narrow down repetitive spots of interest and keep it mind. This does well for routine missions. Moreover with the enhanced Waypoints 2.0 mission planning system, up to 65,535 waypoints can be used.

Above all, the Matrice 300 RTK smartly features the Advanced Dual Operator Mode. Only on the M300 RTK, two pilots can now access multi-pilot control protocols. Thus, it’s unparalleled security, safety, and reliability in one feature.

The M300 RTK can be paired other payloads however the Zenmuse H20 may be the most ideal. The Zenmuse H20 has two versions; the H20 and H20T. Both offer DJI’s Hybrid multi-sensor solution for the utmost shooting efficiency. For the H20 variant you’ll get a triple- sensor with a 20MP, 23x Hybrid Optical Zoom Camera, a 12MP Wide Camera, and a Laser Range Finder for 3m-1200m distances. On the other hand, the H20T has an additional 640×512 Radiometric Thermal Camera with 30fps video resolution.

Between the two it most depends on your field and your needs. You can switch between these sensors in-flight with ease on the integrated UI. Additionally, it snaps photos with High-Res Grid Photo to define subjects with a custom grid. Other modes like One-Click Capture pictures with all three cameras simultaneously without having to manually switch. Night Scene mode deals with low-light conditions.

The DJI Matrice 300 RTK and Zenmuse H20 series are now available for pre-order from official DJI Enterprise dealers. Shipping will start later this 2020. Pricing details and information on where to buy will be available at your local DJI Enterprise Partners.
