COMPUTEX 2020 Rescheduled to September 28-30!

TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) has been updating us for weeks about the cancellations or rescheduling of their events in Taipei. Our main concern is COMPUTEX 2020 since most of the PC Brands like ASUS would launch their new products at the annual event. While we have heard rumours that it will be cancelled, we would rather wait on the official announcement. Less than an hour ago, COMPUTEX Taipei in their Facebook page has finally announced the RESCHEDULED Date of COMPUTEX 2020 to September 28-30.

COMPUTEX is usually held during the last week of May. This year, it was originally scheduled from June 2 to June 6, 2020. Several major events have been cancelled in other parts of the globe. The Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where major phone brands make their announcements was forced to cancel due to brands pulling out of the event. Just recently, E3, the major gaming expo also announced its cancellation.

Hopefully by those dates, people from different countries attending the annual tech event would be free from COVID 19 which took thousands of lives. Currently, the Philippines’ largest island Luzon which includes Metro Manila is on Enhanced Community Quarantine with several towns on lockdown to prevent the virus from spreading further.

Until then, we’ll just stay in our homes and pray that this virus would disappear or a vaccine will be developed soon. We’ll also wait for ASUS Philippines’ official invitation for COMPUTEX 2020. For the past four years, ASUS always invites us to cover their product launches and booths in the said event.

We’ll be posting more news related to COMPUTEX 2020 Rescheduled Dates in the next few weeks.

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
