Coming this July – – Wider, Easier Access to Cloud Services for Philippine SMEs

MSDPC

Driven by its commitment to provide the best tools to help transform Filipino businesses, Microsoft Philippines has partnered with Directories Philippines Corporation (DPC) to launch a program that will provide small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with faster, easier, and more cost-efficient access to Office 365.

In line with DPC’s goal of implementing a digital business model complementing its print YP business, the partnership will provide Microsoft with an opportunity to reach out to more SMEs in the country. This would broaden Microsoft’s scope from the typical technology-focused channels to more business-focused channels to help promote and sell technology to a variety of market segments that may benefit from the new Cloud technologies.

Markets have change dramatically. What once took 18 months to complete are now done in 3 or less. It is most apparent with Cloud technologies where pilots are easily provisioned in minutes and demand for cloud-based solutions are steadily rising. The establishment of the ASEAN Economic Community or AEC in 2015 will require local SMEs to invest in modern-day technology like the cloud as an advantage to prepare for tougher competition ahead. The Microsoft-DPC partnership will help to provide Filipino SMEs with faster, easier, and more cost-efficient migration to Office 365 for an AEC-proof business and operations.

DPC will begin offering Office 365 to Open License Customers through its Yellow Pages Online beginning July 14, 2014. All transactions obtained thru DPC will be rolled-out by implementing partner Barhead Solutions, Inc., a start-up company that specializes in deployment of Microsoft cloud services in the country and the recent winner of Microsoft’s Partner of the Year Award 2014. SMEs that access Office 365 under this program are entitled to free cloud service for 1 month and free ad placement in www.yellowpages.ph for 3 months, along with a free Premium listing which gives registered SMEs prominence when visitors search the Yellow Pages site. The offer also includes Powersite, a custom-made website which will be designed, maintained and hosted by DPC.
