GundamInfo just posted a feature video on their YouTube channel, titled “BEHIND THE CREATION – Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE”!
This is a behind-the-scenes look into the creative process of the production staff for Re:RISE – from the creation and back-story of the characters, to designing the various Mobile Suits that appears in the series, keeping in mind the attention and high expectations from the viewers.
Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE is the 4th entry in Sunrise’ Gundam Build series, which are Gundam shows portraying characters who build GunPla (portmanteau of “Gundam” and “Plastic model kits”). They use an arcade console-like machine that enables the builders to pilot their GunPla to do battle with each other!
“Re:RISE” is a direct sequel to Gundam Build Divers, with the 2 shows having a 2 year time skip in-between. It follows the story of Hiroto, a lone-wolf type of Diver (a GunPla builder/pilot) and 3 other Divers in their adventure within the Gundam Battle Nexus (GBN). They originally banded together by chance but later on find themselves drawn into a series of events that slowly cements their bond as a team.
Gundam Build Divers Re:RISE Season 2 starts airing on April 9, 2020 in the GundamInfo YouTube Channel. Season 1 is also available to watch for those who have not seen it yet, along with the other Gundam Build shows. This is a Gundam show aimed at fans old and new alike, blending the mecha tech and action with the passion for building GunPla models, so be sure to check it out!
