The Asus Zenfone 2 was finally launched here in Jakarta for the SEA (SouthEast Asian) market. Asus CEO Jerry Shen addressed the audience composed of the Media and Dealers in the region, and is very enthusiastic about its latest flagship phone.
“We are very excited to bring ZenFone 2 to consumers in Southeast Asia. ASUS believes that the best technology should be used by a mass audience, and we have drawn on our considerable engineering expertise to create this empowering luxury for everyone to enjoy. Since its launch last year, ZenFone has been beloved by consumers and has won 238 awards worldwide.”
Last week, we mentioned that Asus will release 2 models, the ZE500CL and ZE551ML in the Philippines. Prices were announced but unfortunately, the ZE500CL was not mentioned. Mr. Shen though advised the prices of the following variants of the ZE551ML:
The 2GB RAM, 16GB Internal storage costs around Php 10,710.00.
4GB RAM, 32 GB Internal Storage costs around Php 14,282.00.
and the 3GB RAM, 64GB Internal Storage is around Php 16,067.00. (The exchange rate we quoted was Php 1 = 280 Rupiah.)
I’ll be posting more news about the announcement earlier and hands-on experiences later or tomorrow. Stay tuned for those posts!
