ASUS ExpertBook B9 and ProArt StudioBook Prices and Availability Revealed

Recently we posted about the ASUS ExpertBook B9 and ProArt StudioBook series. It gained a lot of interests especially from the enterprise market as well as digital artists. Last June 19, ASUS Philippines officially launched these two laptop series online and revealed their prices and availability.

The ASUS ExpertBook B9 is currently the World’s Lightest 14” Business laptop. We featured it last summer, and also posted a video explaining why the B9 is such an extra-ordinary laptop for work. See the video below:

At just 870 grams and 14.9mm-thin, the B9 is unmatched in terms of mobility. Its frameless four-sided NanoEdge display serves well to the fit featuring a 14-inch panel and an astounding 94% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by the latest Intel 10th Gen Core i5 and i7 processors with SSD storage up to 2TB and memory up to 16GB. The B9 has two types of batteries, one with 33WH and the other with 66WH, the latter offering up to 24 hours.

We are currently reviewing the B9 and we will post our full review in the next few days. For now, we share our unboxing video we posted last week:

ASUS ProArt StudioBook

I first saw the ASUS ProArt StudioBook series in last year’s #COMPUTEX2019. ASUS realized that there is a need by digital creatives for powerful Windows computers. They are now releasing this series lead by the ASUS ProArt StudioBook One, the only laptop to feature NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 graphics with 24GB of VRAM, and comes with a 9th Gen Intel Core i9 processor. This gives it a level of performance thatʹs perfect for those working in virtual production, real time 8K video editing, data analytics, CAD design and simulation, and other data intensive workloads.

The 4K UHD PANTONE Validated display on ASUS ProArt StudioBook One is truly amazing, boasting edge-to-edge Corning Gorilla Glass 5 that sits flush with the bezels. Its 84% screen-to-body ratio provides immersive visuals, while the wide 100% Adobe RGB color gamut and Delta E value of less than 1.0 ensure exceptional color reproduction and accuracy.

ASUS ProArt StudioBook

ASUS ProArt StudioBook Pro X delivers extreme performance, with professional‑grade NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 graphics to allow users to edit and render multilayered files easily, and 9th Generation Intel Xeon or Intel Core i7 hexa-core processors to handle complex, multithreaded applications. The Quadro RTX GPU provides users with more CUDA, RT and Tensor cores, enabling real-time viewing of environmental shading and lighting effects, ultra-smooth and ultrafast rendering of animations, and effortless 8K video editing on the go.

For storage, a CPU-attached RAID 0 ensures the fastest possible performance, supporting speeds of up to 6 GB/s compared to the 4 GB/s of typical SSDs. The RAID 0 setup spreads data across multiple drives to enhance data read/write performance, so the system and apps boot up in an instant. In addition, StudioBook Pro X has a 2.5‑inch SSD for even more storage space for large files, images and videos.

The ProArt StudioBook Pro X is also the first Quadro laptop to feature the four‑sided ASUS NanoEdge display with a 92% screen‑to‑body ratio. The 16:10 aspect, PANTONE Validated panel provides 25% more onscreen working area compared to a standard 16:9 aspect ratio display, so itʹs able to accommodate the top and bottom toolbars found on most creative apps. Together with a wide 97% DCI‑P3 color gamut and Delta‑E color accuracy of less than 1.5, users are guaranteed immersive visuals and exceptional colors.

It is the first in the series to feature ASUS ScreenPad 2.0. This interactive secondary touchscreen upgrades the traditional laptop experience, providing users with an intuitive smartphone-like interface on which they can easily manage tasks and create their own seamless multitasking creative workflows. Toolbars and reference files can be moved down to ScreenPad, allowing for more usable screen area on the display, while keeping the necessary tools and functions in view.

The StudioBook Pro X includes a collection of handy ASUS utilities to boost productivity: The Quick Key enables one-tap automation of complex keyboard sequences, Handwriting enables natural text input, and the Number Key enables rapid data entry.

ASUS ProArt StudioBook Pro 15 features NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q graphics, while ASUS ProArt StudioBook 15 has GeForce RTX 2060 graphics. Though they cater to different types of creators, both models deliver exceptional performance, easily tackling graphics intensive tasks such as 3D rendering, video editing and content creation. ASUS ProArt StudioBook laptops powered by NVIDIA Quadro RTX or GeForce RTX graphics ensure photo realistic visuals thanks to real time ray tracing. AI Up-Res software intelligently increases the resolution of an image to produce higher-quality images than is possible with other techniques.

The 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processors that power ASUS ProArt StudioBook Pro 15 and ASUS ProArt StudioBook 15 deliver incredibly smooth and responsive multitasking performance to take mobile computing to the next level.

Leveraging on the thin bezel NanoEdge display design, ASUS ProArt StudioBook Pro 17 and ASUS ProArt StudioBook 17 fit a 17 inch, 16:10 aspect-ratio display into a 15-inch class body. The bezels on either side measure just 5.3 mm, resulting in a truly expansive display akin to a desktop monitor. The panel itself has a 97% DCI-P3 wide color gamut — the preferred standard color space for video and film professionals. DCI-P3 is much wider than the sRGB color gamut used in typical PCs, so it’s capable of displaying a broader range of colors. The display is also PANTONE Validated to ensure the colors on-screen are completely accurate.

Each panel is factory calibrated to a Delta-E color accuracy value of less than 1.5, which matches the specifications for ASUS ProArt monitors and actually exceeds the PANTONE requirement. Wide 178° viewing angles ensure colors stay vivid and bright, and the 180° hinge allows for a wider range of positions for the display, including flat on the table; useful when showing work to clients and project collaborators.

Design, 3D rendering, simulations, or complex scientific calculations require peak performance, so ASUS ProArt StudioBook Pro 17 and ASUS ProArt StudioBook 17 can be specified with Intel Xeon or Core i7 processors, and NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 Max-Q or GeForce RTX 2060 graphics. These GPUs are primed for professional applications and power efficiency, which keeps fan noise down to a minimum under heavy load. The Intel Xeon E-2276M CPU features 6 cores and 12 threads with a maximum Turbo frequency of 4.4 GHz. It’s unmatched for tasks that use lots of cores, like rendering, though its high thread count also makes it ideal for power users who switch between demanding applications throughout the day.

Both models support up to 64 GB of RAM, and the Intel Xeon E-2276M-powered ASUS ProArt StudioBook Pro 17 comes with the option of ECC memory. ECC works to detect and correct memory errors that could corrupt vital data or cause a crash in the middle of an important task. For high-performance storage, both models support two PCIe SSDs in a CPU-attached RAID0 setup.

Price of the ASUS ExpertBook B9 series starts at P109,995 for the Core i5 with 33WH battery while the top of the line powered by Core i7 with 2TB SSD and 66WH battery is priced at P169,995. The complete price list can be found below:
