ASUS Announces the World’s Fastest IPS Gaming Monitor: TUF Gaming VG279QM
While the ASUS Designo Series that we recently reviewed is certainly a beauty, it is however, not a dedicated gaming monitor. To add to its growing list of gaming monitors, ASUS recently unveiled to us a new gaming monitor that has the fastest refresh rate of 280Hz. Welcome the ASUS TUF Gaming VG279QM and VP249QGR monitors.
These new monitors from TUF Gaming features:
- ASUS Fast IPS for 1 ms gray to gray response time. ASUS Fast IPS technology utilizes high speed Liquid Crystal elements to improve response times of up to 4x the usual IPS monitor. Typically, IPS panels are limited to 4ms maximum gray to gray response times. This means the output will be on par to TN panel performance, while retaining an IPS panel’s high color accuracy of over 99% , a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and 178° viewing angle that will limit distortion and color shift. The VP249QGR; meanwhile, has a 1 ms Moving Picture Response Time (MPRT) and is also an IPS panel monitor.
- Equipped with ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB), a technology exclusive to ASUS monitors that allows the utilization of motion blur reduction and adaptive sync in tandem. It allows us to experience smooth animations and movement. NVIDIA has certified the TUF Gaming VG279QM as G-SYNC Compatible.
- On top of the G-SYNC Compatible Certification, the TUF Gaming VG279QM has a Display HDR 400 Certification that the IPS display is able to push out 400 cd/m2 of brightness, increasing the dynamic range spectrum. Also, ASUS Dynamic Shadow Boost technology is included on both monitors and help in clearing dark spots improving graphical quality and help us spot enemies.
ASUS TUF Gaming VG279QM is now available at stores nationwide at P24,090.00 , while the ASUS VP249QGR will be out starting this week at P10,490.00, a definite bargain if you ask me if you are starting with your first gaming PC.
