If the news of Cherry Mobile’s entry to the European market isn’t big enough, then check this out. Also spotted in the Cherry Mobile Europe exhibit in CeBIT is the Cherry Mobile Smart Action Cam a.k.a. Cherry Mobile Explorer 2, a second edition of their popular Action Cam released last January.
What’s special about it is it isn’t just an Action Cam. It’s a SMART Action Cam! Yes my friends, it’s an Action Camera with an Operating System. Remember the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom I wrote 2 years ago? It’s something like that but with a body of an Go Pro action camera. I had a chance to have a chat with Cherry Mobile Product Manager Lonson Alejandrino last night and he sent me a picture of the said Action Cam. Here are the Cherry Mobile Smart Action Cam Specs:

Asked if this is the first Smart Action Cam in the world, Lonson reply was “Yes first in the world.” Also according to Lonson, all accessories will be included in the packaging of the Cherry Mobile Smart Action Cam similar to the original Cherry Mobile Explorer Action Cam. There is no final price yet, but Lonson mentioned that the Cherry Mobile Smart Action Cam Price will be around less than P6,000. The good news is it will be launched in the Philippines this May which is just in time for summer!
